Cockpit Arts - My new home!

Towards the end of 2020 everyone was looking forward to ringing in the New Year, hailing it as the beginning of a new world and hopefully the end of Covid-19. But 6 weeks in, and it hasn't proved to be the great positive year we'd all hoped.

However it is not all doom and gloom! I was so excited to find out that I had been given a studio space at Cockpit Arts in Holborn, and I have to say a week later I feel so at home already. Cockpit is one of London's leading studios for contemporary crafts and the UK's only business incubator for makers and designers. It is a stunning, vibrant environment full of creative minds and it is such a fantastic, inspiring place to be able to run my business from.

After an ordeal with a rental van, myself and my helper (Mum) transported my minuscule studio from East to Central London. I was surprised how much stuff I had actually managed to fit into my corridor of a home studio, and am very glad to have more space to spread out in! I have a new bench so I can separate my wax work from my metal work (any jeweller will know that the two should never mix!) and space to display my jewels for the lovely open studio events when we're able to have them.

We have had some really exciting news today in the UK, the government have announced the roadmap to get the country out of lockdown and to the end of the pandemic! This will mean that I'll soon be able to open up my doors, I'm looking forward to welcoming to the studio and showing you some jewels! If you'd like to make an appointment, get in touch.
